Mountain bike expert Lukas Hoffmann visits the Institute of Sports Science

On Thursday 13 June 2024, mountain bike expert Lukas Hoffman was a guest at Dr Arno Meyer's Trend and Adventure Sports seminar.

The guest lecture focussed on the cyclist's participation in the most difficult MTB race in the world, the Cape Epic. This stage race has been held in South Africa since 2004 and is unofficially known as the "Tour de France of mountain biking". However, the lecturer's full-time job was also of great interest to the seminar. Lukas Hoffmann works as a sports editor for the magazine Mountainbike and deals with innovations in the world of cycling. He was therefore the ideal contact person for the seminar topic of "MTB racing" in many respects.

Loud applause and further discussions even after the end of the presentation emphasised the success of the event.
